Love Notes
Ink stains my fingers, heart upon the line,
Words dance and tremble, yearning forth to shine.
How to confess this tender ache I bear,
Feelings fragile, should I lay them bare?
Shy phrases fade before their chance to bloom,
To find expression, fear dispels the room.
"I think of thee," too simple it may seem,
While my full heart bursts with a lover's dream.
Words yearn to sing of love in boldest flight,
Confessing all my heart holds day and night.
A longing grows, a truth it must impart,
My heart o'erflows with feelings from the start.
A poem perhaps, with rhymes both sweet and pure,
Or simple note, "My heart belongs to you, be sure."
To write is brave, a step my heart must take,
Hoping these love notes joy for thee will make.
